Factor XII, also referred to as Hageman factor, plays a crucial role in the coagulation cascade, a series of chemical reactions that leads to the formation of blood clots. These deficiencies are generally rare and may vary in severity.
Individuals with factor XII deficiencies may experience abnormal bleeding tendencies due to the impaired clotting process.
