Svalbarðshreppur is a municipality in northeastern Iceland, between Norðurþing and Langanesbyggð.
As of 1 January 2011, it had a total population of 106 and a population density of 0.1 per square kilometre. The total area was 1,155 km². The municipality is administered from Þórshöfn in the neighbouring Langanesbyggð municipality. The area is known for their salmon rivers.
