Ed Gilbert (born Edmund F. Giesbert on June 29, 1931 – May 8, 1999) was an American actor, with extensive credits in both live action roles and voice work in animation, although he was better known for the latter. He is well-known as Fenton Hardy on 1970s television's The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries. He was best known for being the voices of Thrust and Blitzwing in the 1984-86 seasons of The Transformers Sunbow cartoon, Thirty-Thirty & Shaman in BraveStarr and Baloo in TaleSpin. He died on May 8, 1999 after losing his battle with lung cancer. He was voice of Puggsy & Daddy Starling in Tom and Jerry: The Movie. He was the voice of Mr. Smee in Peter Pan and the Pirates. He was the voice of Phasir in Aladdin (TV series). He was the voice of the Mandarin in Iron Man: The Animated Series [1]

His grave is located at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary in Newhall, California.
